DURHAM, N.C., and KUNSHAN, CHINA -- Mary Brown Bullock, the founding executive vice chancellor of Duke Kunshan University (DKU), will retire from her post in summer 2015.

She has served as the joint venture university’s chief academic and administrative officer since 2012, overseeing two years of preparation, faculty and staff recruitment, and the opening of the campus and first year of academic operations at the university in Kunshan, China.

January 31, Kunshan - Mr. Du Xiaogang, the acting mayor of Kunshan, led a delegation of government officials to visit Duke Kunshan University for the first time since he took office. During the visit, Mr. Du Xiaogang and his delegation toured the campus and met with senior DKU leadership team to understand the university’s developments and preparations for future plans.  

January 30, Kunshan – Dr. Li-Qun Xu, Chief Scientist of China Mobile Research Institute paid a visit to Duke Kunshan University (DKU). January 8, Kunshan - Dr. Maria Rendon, the development counselor of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) visited Duke Kunshan University (DKU) and gave a talk on the agency’s global health strategy and priorities. Dr. Maria Rendon has been the Development Counselor in Beijing since August 2012.
