The earth observation and navigation research team from Wuhan University, jointly led by DKU chancellor and CAE (Chinese Academy of Engineering) academician Liu Jinnan and two other CAE academicians, won an Innovative Team Prize at 2014 National Science Awards in Beijing on January 9th. Presented to no more than 3 teams annually, the prize is known for its high standards for the winners’ innovation ability, academic impact and social contribution.

On December 17 and 18, Duke Kunshan University (DKU) held a workshop that aimed to explore the future development of science and technology research centers at DKU. The two-day workshop was jointly organized by Duke University, Wuhan University and DKU. Attended by academic, civic and business leaders, the workshop featured presentations of various research interests and round-table discussions on feasible approaches to establishing research centers on basic science and engineering.

Duke Kunshan University (DKU) has been selected by the Asia Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (APO) as a Research Hub for health policy and system research. The APO is hosted in WHO’S Western Pacific Regional Office. 

Kunshan, December 16, 2014 – Duke Kunshan University (DKU) held a closing ceremony for the first class of the Undergraduate Global Learning Semester (GLS) program Tuesday afternoon. Sixty-one students from more than 20 Chinese and international universities were awarded program certificates at the ceremony and will also receive course credit from Duke University.

Global health leaders from around the world gathered for the Third second Global Health Institutional Partnership Network Meeting held by Fudan University, Duke Kunshan University and Duke Global Health institute last week in Kunshan, where Duke Kunshan University is located.
