Bi-weekly Teaching and Learning atLunch (T&LatLunch) series provides DKU faculty a venue and opportunities to share, collaborate, reflect and develop in teaching practices, and to foster faculty learning community. Facilitated by CTL, lunch discussions are mainly proposed and co-led by faculty.
Hands-on workshops aim to provide detailed implementationguidelines as well as opportunities for faculty to practice. Classic topics include the use of instructional technologies and the deliberate design of active learning techniques in classes. Faculty with expertise in pedagogy and educational technology are encouraged to offer workshops as well.
University-wide annual teaching and learning showcase usually happens in the end of Fall semesters, attract faculty, students, and staff from both DKU and Duke to celebrate, reflect, and envision teaching and learning.
CTL (sometimes collaborates with other DKU units) invites well-known scholars, professors from other institutions, and counterparts in higher education to provide guest talks to the DKU community.
