Undergraduate Research Fund: 2,000 USD/project. We welcome any ideas and projects that can involve undergraduate students in research, including signature works. Please send us a one-page research plan (including how you can enhance undergraduate research, how you will identify the students and what the “products” you will expect from this project) with a brief description of budget. The application is on the rolling basis and usually you will know the result the Monday following your application.
Pilot Research Fund: 5,000 USD for research to be carried out in the winter/spring; 8,000 USD for research to be carried out in the following summer/fall. This is “seed money” for any DKU faculty who plans to apply for a large research fund. You can either propose to conduct preliminary research or organize a small workshop for the collaborators to meet and discuss ideas. Please provide a two-page description of your research proposal, research plans, research outcomes and a brief budget statement. The application is on the rolling basis. The proposals are due on the 1st of every month. You are encouraged to apply early because we have a limited amount of funding which may run out quickly depending on the number of applications we receive. For inquiries, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org, and/or email@example.com.
In addition, please feel free to nominate speakers, especially high-profile speakers, to present at CSCC for AY 2020-21.
Last but not the least, if you have any suggestions of events/funding opportunities CSCC can provide to assist you better in your research on Chinese societies, please feel free to let us know. We cannot promise to satisfy every single individual need, but we will try our best to make CSCC more “useful” to you! If you could send Chi (firstname.lastname@example.org) your nominations and suggestions by Friday November 20th, we would really appreciate it!
