Director for Occupational and Environmental Safety

Position Overview

The Office of Occupational and Environmental Safety (OES) is created to manage the recognition, evaluation and control of factors in the workplace especially in research laboratory, which may cause illness or injury. The Director for Occupational and Environmental Safety will lead the effort in developing and implementing the DKU Occupational and Environmental Safety programming including establishing our safety policies and protocols. The individual supports university adherence to occupational safety and health rules, regulations, policies, and procedures including compliance with industrial hygiene and health regulations at the local, provincial and central government level. The Director also monitors and updates campus emergency management plans including training, exercises and drills.
