Courses  (All courses are taught in English)

  • Economics/ Statistics course: Providing an international education approach, focusing on the development of economic perspectives and critical thinking.
  • English oral/ writing course: Focusing on the skill training to improve the ability of reading, writing, and expressing in English.
  • Environment ✖ Art Performance course: Offering heuristic teaching, which aims to enhance the influence of public communication on environmental topics.
  • Seminar: Providing a platform for students to communicate with environmental professionals.

Patrick Ward, Ph.D. -Economics

  • Assistant Professor of Environmental Economics and Policy, Duke Kunshan University
  • Agricultural Economics with a specialization in International Development from Purdue University

Moon Joon Kim, Ph.D. -Statistics

  • Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Economics, Duke Kunshan University
  • Environmental economist with interests in air pollution, public health, and program evaluation

 Kai Yang - US Academic Writing

  • Ph.D. candidate in the second language research program at Purdue University
  • Research interests include second language writing, US academic writing, writing process and writing feedback, etc.
  • The research results were presented at “Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)”, “American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL)”, and the Symposium on Second Language Writing (SSLW).
  • Won the Excellent English Teaching Award from Purdue University for three consecutive years

Zhe Gao -English Pronunciation Training

  • Professional English dubbing staff
  • Dubbing specialist in Palantir Technologies
  • Teaching at Youlinyouke Education & Technology Co., Ltd.

Man Xiong -Photographing Training

  • Independent photographer, proficient at documentary photography
  • Participated in photographing seminar on scientific technology of nature conservation and big data

Yuanyuan Chen -Environment & Painting

  • Graduated from the school of media animation of China Academy of Fine Arts
  • Won the silver award of the graduation design of China Academy of Fine Arts
  • Used to be the animation designer of Jiangsu TV

Nan Wu -Environment & Painting Experiencing

  • Graduated from the department of landscape architecture of China Academy of Fine Arts
  • Used to be the design director of Shanghai Yuhong Gallery


Cost Description

  • The training fee of this summer boot camp is RMB 3000/person. (half of the fee will be returned after the admission to the iMEP to students who are interested in applying for iMEP).
  • (Optional) Accomodation fee is RMB 2800/person, including 11 nights' accommodation and school meals.
  • Students who pay for the accommodation will be arranged to stay in a four-star hotel.

Note: This summer boot camp will only recruit 30 students. The registration will be closed if the number is full.
