The Effect of Air Pollution on Migration: Evidence from China

Lecturer: Dr. Shuai Chen

Bio: Dr. Shuai Chen obtained his Ph.D. degree at College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Peking University, on July 2014. After that, he has worked as a postdoc research fellow at Guanghua School of Management (GSM) of Peking University for nearly two years. He was selected by the “Hundred-Talent Program” from Zhejiang University in 2017. Dr. Chen is now working at the School of Public Affairs (SPA) and China Academy for Rural Development (CARD), Zhejiang University. His major is Applied Economics with special emphasis on resource and environmental economics, applied econometrics, spatial econometrics, and mathematical programming methods. His research interests include climate change, rural labor supply, air pollution, and population migration.
