Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the Humanities Research Center (HRC) has postponed the 2020 Undergraduate Humanities Research Conference until Sept. 18-20, when it will be combined with the annual fall conference featuring keynote speeches, and faculty and student panels.
To prepare for the conference, the HRC will host an online abstract writing workshop on Monday, April 27, starting 9pm (9am EST). Zoom Meeting ID 695-290-0771.
Undergraduates from universities in the China mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are welcome to submit papers using this Qualtrics form on topics within the humanities and interpretive social sciences by April 30. Submissions must in English and require a paper title and an abstract (max 300 words). Each student can make only one application.
Note: If you have already provided an abstract, there is no need to resubmit unless you want to revise your previous submission. For those who submit multiple abstracts, we will consider only the most recent version.
The HRC will announce decisions on May 30 and students must submit their full paper by Aug. 31 to conference administrator Chi Zhang to be considered for a prize. Maximum length is 20 pages, double space. Note: Seniors who will continue with graduate studies in the fall are eligible to apply.
