Yu Qin is an assistant professor in the Department of Real Estate at the National University of Singapore. Her research interests include 1) the impact of infrastructure investment (such as high-speed rail and highways) on economic growth and redistribution; 2) urban externalities (such as air pollution and noises) and the economic consequences; 3) topics related to land market and housing market, including land prices and housing prices, affordability issues, and the consequences on firms and individuals.
She has published papers in the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Population Economics, among others. Yu completed her PhD in applied economics and management at Cornell University in 2014.
