First aid is the initial assistance given to a victim of injury or illness, comprising relatively simple techniques that can be performed with rudimentary equipment. First aid training can equip you with the skills and knowledge to help save another’s life. This course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, cardiac arrest, and more, in the first few minutes until someone with advanced training arrives.

Instructor Dr. Leon Li has more than 15 years of clinical experience. Before joining the United Family Healthcare Shanghai service area, he served at Ruijin Hospital as a specialist in emergency medicine and intensive care. He is the chair of the Code Blue Committee at Shanghai United Family Hospital and a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He was a reviewer for the Global Emergency Medicine Literature Review Group, with articles published on Academic Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Li has a Certificate of Instructor Training: Advanced Emergency Cardiac Care from the Center of International Emergency Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles, and a Certificate of First PHEMAP (Public Health and Emergency Management in Asia and the Pacific) Training Course in China from WHO-CHN and WHO-Pre-Hospital Care Research and Training Center. He also is certified by the American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS, and was a faculty member of BLS and ALCS, and instructor of PALS.
