Dr. Chenkai Wu has been appointed as the Associate Director of Graduate Studies, MSc of Global Health, reporting to Prof. Lijing L. Yan and Prof. Shenglan Tang. In his new role, Dr. Wu will be responsible for recruitment, admissions, marketing, curriculum development, and career services of the MSc of Global Health program to ensure the highest academic quality for the program’s graduate students at Duke Kunshan University.
Dr. Wu joined the Duke Kunshan University on June 1, 2018 as Assistant Professor of Global Health. His research interests include promotion of healthy aging and longevity using cutting-edge technologies, implications of big data in clinical practice, and prevention of cardiovascular disease, frailty, and disability among older adults. Dr. Wu has published over 10 peer-reviewed papers as a first-author in top-tier journals. His work has also been featured on major Chinese and international media, including the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian, the National Public Radio, and Harvard Business Review.
Before joining Duke Kunshan, he was an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health at New York Medical College.
Dr. Wu holds an MS degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, an MPH degree in Biostatistics, and a PhD degree in Public Health from Oregon State University.
