Career Coaching for MMS: DKU Students

Your goal is career success — which means it’s our goal as well. Master of Management Studies: Duke Kunshan University students have access to Fuqua and DKU career coaching services and other career resources that help guide them to the career opportunity that best fits their interests and skills. Whether you are on campus in the US or China, career coaches are available for one-on-one career counseling by appointment, both in-person and via online communication channels, such as Skype.

Alumni Career Counseling & Mentoring Programs

Close to 50 alumni career counseling volunteers work with students one-on-one or participate in alumni panels through our Career Advisor for MMS (CAM) program each year. These alumni share their first-hand experiences, offer advice for the job search process, help you hone your professional communication techniques, and build your interviewing skills through mock interviews. MMS: DKU students are able to request matches with alumni in China in chosen industries to personalize the CAM experience.

MMS: DKU Peer Career Counseling

As an MMS student, you'll be a mentor AND a mentee. We believe that one of the best ways to learn is by collaborating and sharing advice with your classmates. Peer career counseling and mentorship opportunities include:

  • Job Search Teams — Small teams of students guided by a career counselor that shares advice, support and insight throughout the job search process.
  • Career Chairs — Serve as liaisons between MMS students and the Career Management Center, listening and responding to student feedback to help improve career development programs. They also raise awareness of the MMS program and assist with organizing corporate visits, managing the Career Ambassadors, and defining unique career coaching needs of both US and global students.
  • The Duke MMS Association (MMSA) — Organizes student-led, career-focused events where you'll receive firsthand advice to help you develop professional tools and skills. Past events include informal student mentoring discussions on guerrilla job search tactics, effective networking, and the job search and career experience of Duke MBA students.

Master of Management Studies: Duke Kunshan University students are exposed to a rigorous business education and have access to valuable career coaching and mentoring resources from staff, alumni and fellow students.
