MMS: DKU Program Tuition, Costs & Financial Aid

Here, you will find basic information about MMS: DKU program tuition, additional costs, scholarships and financial aid.The “cost of attendance” (COA) is used to calculate your maximum financial aid eligibility. Certain expenses and situations may allow you to increase this total COA budget, including having a spouse, child(ren), and/or computer expenses. Many students work out financing arrangements up to the full cost of attendance, but each student must apply for financial aid to determine his or her own eligibility.

Financial Assistance

Merit Scholarships: Duke Kunshan University Admissions oversees the merit-based scholarship process. Merit scholarships are awarded based on a candidate's overall profile. Contact the Admissions Office at mms-dku-info@fuqua.duke.edu if you have questions about merit-based scholarships.

Financial Assistance

Special financial aid will be offered to all Chinese students from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to lower the tuition standard. Additional scholarships of varying amounts will be available based on academic achievement and family financial circumstances. Applicants will be given an opportunity to submit supplemental financial information.

Cost of Attendance Notes

  • All fees and rates provided at this time are estimates; 
  • All tuition will be invoiced by and paid to Duke Kunshan University. Other fees and charges will be invoiced and paid in either China or the U.S..
  • Duke Kunshan student residence and dining facilities are closed during the winter break between the fall and spring semesters and for seven days during the Chinese New Year Holiday. 
  • International Travel includes an estimate of the cost of one roundtrip to the U.S. for Chinese students or from an international destination to Shanghai for international students, typical visa costs, and in the case of additional health check and registration costs associated with establishing legal residence in China for non-Chinese students.  Students wishing to return to their home countries during breaks in their study before the end of the year should budget additional funds for these trips.
  • All Duke Kunshan students will be responsible for paying $75 for the MBA Math.com course, via credit card, at the time of matriculation. This fee has been included in the Miscellaneous/Personal Expenses.
  • U.S. based and international students from outside U.S. (i.e. India, Africa, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan) who do not apply through Duke’s GEO (Study Abroad) application system are required to enroll in the Ping'An Global Health Insurance Plan ).
  • International students may be recommended or required to participate in the International Student Bootcamp. This is a program for non-native speakers of English.
