Covering 47 acres, construction will include cutting-edge library and sports facilities, student accommodations, a visitor center and the WHU-Duke Research Institute, while work has also started on Duke Kunshan Gardens.

The latest round of FSTA grants will support faculty attending conferences in Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C., as well as research projects focused on unnecessary C-sections and the risk factors associated with enterovirus infections.

Freshmen were urged to focus on each small step as they chase big dreams at Duke Kunshan’s second undergraduate opening convocation, attended by special guests including the U.S. consul general.

Collaboration between Duke Kunshan and fintech company Sinodata will boost innovation in emerging sectors, such as big data analysis and fraud detection, and train interdisciplinary talent to help businesses improve efficiency and cut costs.

At the annual gathering, directors worked with undergraduate students on exercises designed to capture insights on key issues such as drawing social resources, internal governance and making investment policy.
