Kunshan, May 20, 2015– Duke Kunshan University (DKU) and Duke’s Fuqua School of Business held a graduation ceremony for the inaugural class of the Master of Management Studies: Duke Kunshan University program. The 32 newly minted graduates in the Class of 2015 were from eight countries and were awarded a Master of Management Studies degree from Duke University. They are the first DKU students to graduate since the school began in 2014.

On April 14, Professor Haiyan Gao, vice chancellor for academic affairs at Duke Kunshan University, gave a talk on proton at a plenary session of the American Physical Society’s April Meeting 2015. Titled “Proton – a fascinating relativistic many-body system – remain puzzling”, Professor Gao’s presentation reviewed the puzzles surrounding proton and the efforts to solve them.

KUNSHAN, April 26, 2015 – Senior business leaders and scholars from around the world convened April 25 and 26 at Duke Kunshan University in Kunshan, China, for the Duke International Finance Forum.

April 25, Kunshan - World leaders in finance, environment, industry, media, higher education and international relations gathered on Duke Kunshan University campus for the second annual DKU advisory board meeting. DKU leadership and student and faculty representatives as well as leaders from Wuhan University and the City of Kunshan joined them for a full day meeting designed to help create the success path for China’s newest and most elite joint-venture university.

Duke Kunshan University’s Board of Trustees held its spring meeting on the DKU campus April 15-16. Chancellor Liu Jingnan reported to the Board on DKU’s operations during the 2014-15 academic year, including student affairs, teaching assessment, curricular highlights, academic research, campus facilities and external relations and student. The Board reviewed and approved DKU’s operating budget and a number of other operational plans for the 2015-2016 academic year.
