China's first institute for ozone pollution research, Regional Ozone Sino-US Collaborative Research Center was established at Duke Kuanshan University on November 9, 2016. The center was initiated by Duke Kunshan University, Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Atmospheric Environment, Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Jiangsu Environmental Monitoring Center. The research will focus on sources of ozone in Jiangsu province and the delta region of Yangtze river, regional transmission, and the effect of ozone on human health. High-tech talent from Duke University, Duke Kunshan University and Peking University will cooperate with officials and scientific research personnel of Jiangsu province for the innovative research in this field.
