DKU Summer Research Program Grant

Purpose

As part of its ongoing efforts to support faculty development, DKU will support faculty efforts to generate new and internationally recognized initiatives for research, creative practice, and contributions to international higher education.

Pursuant to its policy on Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure, DKU seeks to support new research proposals that are likely to yield professional accomplishments that make “a significant contribution to academe.” This might be understood as products likely to have a significant impact on student learning outcomes or a high probability of significant, published research. Such results may include:

  1. scholarly publication,
  2. the design and development of new innovations or artistic production,
  3. engagement in a research program that engages undergraduate or graduate students and is aimed at significant production or publication,
  1. significant contribution to higher education through influential contributions to education literature, advancement of educational practice, the development of new curricula, or the publication of textbooks.

Eligibility

Full-time tenure-track and tenured faculty holding any rank, whose primary appointment is at DKU, are eligible to apply for this grant.

Application Process

A call for proposals will be announced annually by Office of Academic Affairs in October, and applications must be submitted by January 15 prior to the summer in which the applicant seeks support.
