Scope of Solicitation:

This guide targets fields such as integrated circuits and electronic information, new materials and advanced manufacturing, population and health, biology and agriculture, and environment and ecology. It focuses on the critical strategic needs of the Yangtze River Delta region, aiming to deeply explore and define fundamental scientific questions. The initiative organizes and supports leading teams to jointly conduct application-oriented basic research with clear industrial objectives, thereby supporting and driving innovation and development in various industries.

 

Eligibility and Requirements

  1. The leading organization for the project must be a legal or non-legal entity registered in Shanghai, Jiangsu, or Anhui provinces, possessing strong capabilities and conditions for research and development, organizing scientific research, and promoting project implementation.
  2. Projects related to the guidelines of the respective provinces must be led by institutions from those provinces, while other provincial institutions are encouraged to participate as subtopic units or collaborators in joint research.
  3. The project implementation period must not exceed 5 years.
  4. The budget preparation should consider the existing resources and supporting conditions of the applying institution, based on the actual needs of the project objectives.

Application Process:

  1. Applying institutions should organize their submissions in project form according to the guide’s content, with the option to include subtopics under each project. Each project must be submitted as a whole, covering all research content specified in the relevant guideline direction. Each project should designate one principal investigator, and each subtopic should have one leader; the project leader may also serve as the leader of one subtopic.
  2. The project proposal should include relevant agreements and commitments. The leading institution must sign a joint application agreement with all participating entities, specifying the agreement’s signing date. Additionally, the applying institution and the project leader must sign a statement of integrity and other required commitments.
  3. The application information will be pre-reviewed by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and will be recommended collectively by the task force .
