Born in Belgium, Alain started his career in the automobile industry in 1986, where he worked his way up to various senior positions atFord, including President and Managing Director, Ford Benelux. He is now the CEO of Lynk & Co International AB.Before joining Lynk & CO, Alain served as Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service at Volvo Cars, globally. For the last two years, Alain has been named in the top ten most influential Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) in the world, by Forbes Magazine –for his honest and forthright approach in making big changes within the automotive industry.Alain also worked at General Motors’ Rüsselsheim, Germany HQ for eight years. His roles there included Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales at Opel/Vauxhall. Alain was also a Member of the Board of Adam Opel AG. Alain holds a Master’s of Science from the University of Antwerp, as well as an MBA from Duke University in North Carolina, and speaks six languages, including Italian, English, French and German.
